Police: Man shot in hand during dispute with neighbor

A man was shot in the hand during a dispute between neighbors this morning in the east valley, according to Metro Police.

A person called 911 and reported hearing gunshots about 11:10 a.m. in the 100 block of Parrish Lane, near East Charleston and North Nellis boulevards, Officer Laura Meltzer said.

The incident began as a neighborhood dispute involving property damage, and police are speaking to those involved, Meltzer said.

The man who was shot was taken to University Medical Center with injuries believed to be nonlife-threatening, she said.
