Officials say the number of travelers flying into and out of Las Vegas grew nearly 3 percent in February compared to the year prior to 3.15 million people.

McCarran International Airport officials reported Thursday that four out of the five of the airport's top airlines had more passengers in February with the exception of Delta which had 4.8 percent fewer travelers.

Statistics show Southwest Airlines had the most passengers at 1.2 million in February. American Airlines had the largest percent increase year over year of 6.5 percent for 216,504 passengers.

The total number of passengers is the largest amount for the month since February 2008.
