The driver of a pickup truck that hit a teenage girl in the southeast valley today has been located and was being booked on a count of felony hit-and-run, Metro Police said.

Officers were called about 7:50 a.m. to an auto-pedestrian accident near East Hacienda and South Eastern avenues, Metro Officer Laura Meltzer said.

The teen was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with injuries that were serious but did not appear life threatening, Meltzer said.

Police were searching for a white 2001 Nissan Frontier, Meltzer said. The truck was believed to have significant front-end damage, she said.
