Were there any doubts that Coach Dave Rice would plead his case to keep his job for another year? He promised a “breakout year” to the athletic director. I guess the fifth year is the charm. Like Coach Jim Fassel said after his interview for the head coaching job of the football program, “they had already decided who they were going to name.” Oh well, I guess I’ll have to wait for next year, the “breakout year.”
