I’m not one to purposely dampen anyone’s umbrella, but all this hype about a fight? It’s obviously too much for the public to endure. It’s never too much for those who will profit from it, however.
Getting back to the umbrella, I must say that, according to the law of averages — and I know little or nothing about that — something can happen to prevent the fight from being on schedule. Well, it can, can’t it? Imagine if a simple bellyache occurred. A stumble, a fall, some nutty fan doing the slightest unanticipated move toward one of the fighters. A fighter’s ring helper in a minor traffic accident. A really bad cold.
How would the fans who traveled here for the fight handle even a one-day delay? Wow! And how would they handle a first-round K.O.?
There is such a thing as too much hype.
Best of luck to all.
