An early morning stabbing left one man in critical condition this morning in the southeast valley and blocked Flamingo Road east of Eastern Avenue, according to Metro Police.

A fight reported about 3:30 a.m. in the area of Flamingo and Topaz roads escalated into a stabbing in which a man was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Officer Laura Meltzer said. An update on the man’s condition was not immediately available.

All lanes of Flamingo Road in the area east of Eastern Avenue were blocked after the incident, but the road has since been opened, according to police and the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada.

Another person may also have suffered stab wounds but has not been located, Meltzer said.
