Passengers and crew evacuated a Southwest Airlines flight in Las Vegas today after a report of possible smoke on the plane, according to an airport spokeswoman.
Southwest flight 1292, which was scheduled to depart for San Diego International Airport at 2:50 p.m., was at the gate when a crew member reported a haze in the output of an air vent, according to McCarran International Airport spokeswoman Christine Crews and the airline.
Five crew members and 143 passengers exited the aircraft, and the Clark County Fire Department responded, Crews said.
No smoke was found, she said.
The plane was scheduled to make stops in San Diego and Tucson, she said.
Customers boarded another plane to San Diego and arrived about 90 minutes behind schedule, a Southwest spokeswoman said.
