North Las Vegas Police are searching for a man they say asked to see an expensive piece of jewelry at a store last month before running off with it.
Officers were called about 1:50 p.m. Sept. 30 to the scene of the burglary in the 6300 block of North Decatur Boulevard, near the 215 Beltway, according to a North Las Vegas Police news release.
The suspect asked to view the jewelry from a locked display case, and when an employee put it on the counter, the man fled with it, according to police.
Surveillance video from the scene shows the suspect fleeing in a four-door sedan that is light in color.
The suspect is described as a black man with a heavy build believed to be in his 30s, police said. He was wearing a black hat, a white-and-gray shirt, dark pants and white shoes, police said.
