Man accused of sexually assaulting casino employee is arrested

Metro Police have arrested a suspect accused of attacking and sexually assaulting a Boulder Station employee on Saturday.

Ivon Major, 22, was arrested this morning after a tip from a concerned citizen, police said.

Officers were called about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday to the hotel room in the 4100 block of Boulder Highway.

An employee was inside a room when Major entered, battered and sexually assaulted the victim, police said. Major left when another employee came to the door.

The employee, whose gender or job wasn’t available, was taken to University Medical Center, police said.

In an effort to identify Major, Metro released Saturday surveillance footage of Major at the property, police said.

Major was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on one count of battery with intent to commit sexual assault, sexual assault, kidnapping, robbery, burglary with intent to commit sexual assault and open and gross lewdness, police said.

No bail has been set and Major is scheduled to appear in front of a judge on Thursday morning, jail logs show.
