A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed when a car turned in front of him in Henderson this afternoon, according to city police.

The crash happened about 12:50 p.m. at Sun City Anthem Drive and Thunder Bay Avenue, in the far southeast valley, Henderson Police spokeswoman Michelle French said.

An investigation determined that the driver of the car, a 69-year-old woman, failed to yield at the intersection, and got in the motorcyclist's path, police said. The man, a Henderson resident, was thrown from his bike and died at the scene.

The woman, who was not injured and not believed to be under the influence, was cooperating with investigators, police said.
