Power was restored at Death Valley National Park Sunday after Friday's storms knocked off electricity and wiped out roads there, but services are still limited.
According to the National Park Service:
As of Saturday afternoon, the park lacked electricity and working telephones Anyone driving through the park was advised to “exercise extreme caution.”
Temperatures expected to reach 116 degrees will further increase travel risks.
California Highway 190 was open Saturday morning, but there was debris on the road and shoulders were washed out. Badwater Road was open for 47 miles to Ashford Mills, but the Jubilee Pass portion of Badwater, which connects to Shoshone, Calif., remains under construction and is closed due to flood damage last year.
The park service tweeted Sunday that hotels and restaurants will be fully operational by Monday.
