Metro Police are looking for three men who robbed a convenience store Tuesday night and later got away from officers during a brief car chase, Lt. David Gordon said.

Officers were called about 10:15 p.m. to the Sinclair convenience store, 3280 S. Decatur Blvd., Gordon said.

Three men entered the store, one of them firing a round into the air, Gordon said. The robbers ordered customers to the floor and told the clerk to hand over cash from the register, he said.

The robbers fled in a stolen vehicle, which officers later spotted on Jones Boulevard, north of U.S. 95, and tried without success to stop, Gordon said.

The driver abandoned the vehicle at U.S. 95 and Summerlin Parkway and ran away, Gordon said. It wasn’t clear if the two other suspects were in the vehicle when it was abandoned, he said.

Officers, assisted by a helicopter and K-9 units, set up a perimeter but weren’t able to locate the suspects, Gordon said.
