A small airplane made an emergency landing on a south valley street today after the pilot reported mechanical issues, authorities said.

No one was injured and the plane, which landed this afternoon about 7 miles south of the Henderson Executive Airport, was not damaged, Henderson Fire Department spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said.

The pilot of the Cessna 150 contacted the airport tower and reported experiencing mechanical problems, Clark County Department of Aviation spokeswoman Christine Crews said. The pilot was looking for a street to land on, she said.

Another pilot flying in the area reported the plane landed safely and that two people got out of the aircraft, Crews said.

Further details were not immediately available.
