Trooper injured
A Nevada Highway Patrol trooper was hit by a bus and suffered serious injuries near Hoover Dam this morning, spokeswoman Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said.
The trooper, who was assisting with traffic control at a police incident, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center and is expected to recover, Stuenkel said. A commercial bus backed into the trooper and the trooper’s motorcycle, she said.
The incident occurred near State Route 172 and U.S. 93, Stuenkel said.
