CARSON CITY — Dr. James D. Carpenter, an eye and cosmetic surgery specialist from Las Vegas, has been named to the state Athletic Commission that regulates boxing in Nevada.
Gov. Brian Sandoval made the announcement on Monday. Carpenter will replace Pat Lundvall.
Carpenter has previously been the doctor for the U.S. Olympic boxing team.
