Week 1 ruled

Las Vegas Sun sports editors Ray Brewer and Case Keefer recap a particularly memorable week 1 in Las Vegas high school football that included Bishop Gorman obliterated a Texas power and two games between top five teams that came down to the final minute.

Isiah Bigby and Justin Aguilar each threw a pair of touchdown passes today for the Clark High football team in a 38-8 victory against host Western.

Defensively, Davion Lattimore had seven tackles, four sacks and a forced fumble.

“He was our leader on defense,” Clark coach Don Willis said of Lattimore. “All-around, I thought our defense flew around. We played with speed and got to the football.”

Bigby connected with Semaj Taylor for a 25-yard scoring strike for the game’s initial points. Later, he hooked up with Nick Kinnard. Kinnard added a touchdown run to give Clark an 18-6 halftime lead.

DeAndre Smothers, Aquantay Morris and Anthony Fagan had touchdowns in the second half.
