Justin Balanga rushed for two touchdowns and 118 yards on 14 carries today for the Coronado High football team in a 37-0 victory against host Cheyenne.

Coronado improves to 1-1 on the season, making amends for a 6-0 loss to Canyon Springs to open the season. In that game, it had five turnovers. Tonight, it had none.

“It’s all execution. We executed much better tonight,” Coronado coach Bill Froman said.

Landen Rowland completed 4-of-6 passes for 102 yards for Coronado and Gavin Wale kicked a 45-yard field goal that “would have been good from 60,” Froman said.

Ian McCullough returned a blocked punt for a touchdown for Coronado. Patrick Ng blocked the kick.
