A person on a wheelchair was struck and killed by a truck on Boulder Highway and Nellis Boulevard on Saturday night, according to Metro Police.
Officers and medical crews responded to the east valley intersection about 9 p.m., Metro Lt. Carlos Hank said.
A white truck was heading south on Boulder Highway at the time of the impact, Hank said. The person struck died at the scene.
Further details, including the person's gender, weren't immediately available late Saturday.
Commuters and pedestrians should avoid the area, Hank said.
