Officers arrested a man suspected of violently attacking a woman and stabbing her in the neck Friday morning in the central valley, according to Metro Police.
Willie Jackson, 27, was arrested Saturday and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for one count of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, police said.
About 4 a.m. Friday, police found a woman suffering from a laceration to her neck outside an apartment in the 1500 block of East Karen Avenue, near Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway, police said.
She was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries, police said.
Through the investigation Jackson was determined to be a suspect and was taken into custody by detectives with Metro Technical and Surveillance Section, Sexual Assault Section and Criminal Apprehension Team.
