CARSON CITY — A prison inmate from Clark County didn’t enjoy much freedom after walking away from a conservation camp in Pioche.

Claude Laska was captured Tuesday, a day after his escape, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections. He will be transferred to the state prison in Ely, officials said.

Laska was serving a sentence of 19 to 72 months for home invasion in Clark County, officials said. He now faces burglary, larceny and escape counts, officials said.

Officials said Laska, 24, is suspected breaking into a vehicle and stealing a shotgun and ammunition outside Pioche.
