Ray Brewer and Case Keefer recap all the action from rivalry week, and spend extra time looking ahead to a few of the evenly-matched games in week 9.

Desert Pines kept rolling through league play Friday night in a 35-7 victory over visiting Sunrise Mountain.

The defending state champion Jaguars have now won all four of their Class 3A Sunset games by at least four touchdowns.

“With a sophomore-based team, every week, we just keep getting better,” Desert Pines coach Tico Rodriguez said.

Two juniors led the way against the Miners, though. Devin McGee broke a pair of long runs that turned into early touchdowns as part of near 200-yard rushing night, and Dejon Pratt added to the onslaught with a fumble returned for a touchdown.

Sophomore Jyden King also had more than 100 yards and a touchdown for the Jaguars.
