Taariq Flowers ran for 220 yards and three touchdowns for the Del Sol High football team on Saturday night in a 44-6 win against host Western.

Del Sol scored four first-quarter touchdowns and led the Warriors 38-0 at halftime as Dragons’ quarterback Andre Navares threw touchdowns to Barry Williams and Maalik Flowers.

Williams added an 85-yard punt return for a touchdown in the blowout victory.

Del Sol’s defense dominated for a second straight week, led by Kayce Cohon who intercepted two passes including a 100-yard return for a touchdown. Last week, Del Sol held Rancho to 14 points.

The Dragons improve to 2-2 on the season and play Palo Verde on the road this Thursday.
