Durango improved to 3-0 in the Southwest League with a hard-fought 25-18 home win over Clark.

“Our defense played great,” Durango coach Scott Murdock said. “[Clark] had a couple busted plays that kept them in the game, but our defense played well and our quarterback made plays.”

Durango junior QB Kaden Renshaw threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns and added sixty rushing yards and one TD on the ground.

Renshaw also made the biggest play of the game, hitting junior receiver Kevin O’Neill for a 60-yard touchdown on the opening drive of the third quarter to extend Durango’s lead to 19-6.

“He did everything,” Murdock said of his quarterback. “He ran the ball 20 times, he passed for 230 yards and three touchdowns. He came up big.”

Durango is now 4-1 overall, while Clark dropped to 2-3 (1-2 in the Southwest League).
