Jaime Rangel accounted for four touchdowns today for the Eldorado High football team in a 48-8 against Rancho to give the Sundevils their first win of the season.

It may also give them a playoff spot in November. Four of the five teams in the Northeast League make the postseason, meaning Eldorado’s win tonight in the league opener should be enough to give them an extra game come the end of the year.

“The kids worked so hard,” Eldorado coach Robert Cutts said. “Even being 0-4, they never gave up. That is the biggest thing. They never took a day off.”

Rangel rushed and passed for two touchdowns, connecting with Rayen Rubio and Andy Aviles with touchdown passes.

Michael Perez, Daniel Powell and Heber Juarez added touchdown runs for the Sundevils.
