Senior running back Jayden Perkins scored four touchdowns to lead Virgin Valley past Boulder City, 36-12.

Perkins found the end zone four times in the second quarter to push the Bulldogs to a 30-12 halftime lead. He scored on runs of 3 and 10 yards and caught TD passes of 54 and 27 yards.

“Stud player,” Virgin Valley coach Yori Lundvigson said. “It seemed every time [Boulder City] started to catch up, he hit a big play to open it up again.”

Perkins finished with 108 rushing yards on 18 carries, and he caught three passes for 89 yards.

Virgin Valley is now 4-2 heading into a bye week, with a big game at Moapa Valley coming up on Oct. 13.

“This game was a huge deal for us to have momentum going into Moapa,” Lundvigson said. “We needed a good win tonight to make sure we’re running on all cylinders and going into that game with full confidence.”
