A forklift brought down 15 power poles this morning in the south valley, knocking off electricity for hundreds of NV Energy customers, according to Metro Police and the utility company.

No one was injured, Officer Aden OcampoGomez said.

Live powerlines were hanging and hitting the ground in an industrial area at Post Road and Banning Creek, near Valley View Boulevard and Sunset Road, OcampoGomez said. Officers responded about 11:45 a.m.

About 400 NV Energy customers remained without power in the area about 2:20 p.m.

“Please keep your distance for safety as crews work to make repairs and restore power,” the utility company wrote on Twitter.
