Man shot to death at vacant apartment

A man was shot to death Sunday night in a vacant apartment after getting into a fight, according to Metro Police.

The shooting was reported about 10:35 p.m. in the 6600 block of East Russell Road, where officers found the victim dead in the front doorway of the apartment, police said.

The man was in the apartment with several other people before the shooting, police said. Detectives think he was engaged in a physical altercation when he was shot, police said.

After the shooting, everyone fled on foot, and no arrests have been made, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name.
