Authorities are searching for a 69-year-old boater who set out on Lake Mead about noon Friday from the Callville Bay Marina and hasn’t been seen since, according to the National Park Service.

The man was reported overdue about 9 a.m. Saturday, and his 25-foot sailboat was found empty on the lake about four hours later, officials said.

The missing man, Brian W. Yule, is white with gray hair and green eyes. He is 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds, officials said.

The National Park Service, Nevada Department of Wildlife and Metro Police have been searching the area by land, water and air. The incident is under investigation, officials said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts and anyone who saw his boat is asked to call the Lake Mead Dispatch Center at 702-293-8998.
