Laxalt’s office joins effort to support human trafficking victims

Attorney General Adam Laxalt’s office is partnering with the Nevada Trucking Association, the Soroptimist International of Truckee Meadows, and Washoe County to host the fifth-annual Benefit Dinner for Survivors of Human Trafficking on Aug. 23 at the Silver Legacy Casino starting at 5:30 p.m.

The event raises money for the Contingency Account for Victims of Human Trafficking, which allocates funds to nonprofit groups and the state to help establish and provide programs for survivors.

Tickets to the event cost $75 per person or $700 for a table of 10. Sponsorships start at $2,500.
