Jordan Blakely returned the opening kickoff of the second half 88 yards for a touchdown tonight for the Foothill High football team in a 42-0 victory against host Galena of the Reno area.

Blakely also had a 5-yard touchdown reception on a pass from Koy Riggin. Riggin also hooked up with Braeden Wilson for an 80-yard scoring strike to give the Falcons the win in their season opener.

“We played hard. That is what we wanted out of the first game,” Foothill coach Marty Redmond said.

Jordan Wilson, Omari Canton and Mario Armendariz had rushing touchdown for the Falcons.

“It was a typical first game,” Redmond said. “We did some things well, but some things were sloppy. We’ll have to get better and clean up those mistakes.”
