A pickup truck speeding on a north Las Vegas Valley roadway slammed into a turning car Wednesday evening, critically injuring a 79-year-old motorist, according to Metro Police.

The crash was reported about 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of West Ann Road and North Bradley Road, police said.

The critically injured North Las Vegas woman was attempting a left turn on a flashing yellow light onto Bradley when her 2013 Volkswagen Beetle was hit by a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, police said.

Impairment was not suspected, but police said the Silverado was “exceeding the speed limit.” Its driver, a 20-year-old Las Vegan, suffered moderate injuries.

Both patients were transported to University Medical Center, police said.
