Senior running back Casey Flennory scored two touchdowns through the air and one on the ground to lead Pahrump Valley to its first win of the season Friday night.

Flennory caught touchdown passes of 10 and 20 yards then rumbled 63 yards for a score to help Pahrump Valley to an easy 42-14 win over Sunrise Mountain.

“He’s a pretty explosive kid,” Pahrump Valley coach Joe Clayton said. “When he gets the opportunity, he gets on the edge and had a long run. He had a couple good receptions.”

The Trojans ran for a total of 365 yards in the game, averaging nearly nine yards per carry.

“Our offense was pretty much unstoppable,” Clayton said. “Our big guys kind of controlled the game and opened holes for our running backs.”

Senior back Nico Velazquez led the team with 109 rushing yards, and also added a score on the ground.

With the win, Pahrump Valley is now 1-2 on the season and will travel to Boulder City for its final non-league game of the season next week.
