Metro Police say they have a suspect in custody in a shooting at a north valley park that left a male victim with survivable injuries.
The fight and subsequent shooting occurred shortly after noon at the Children’s Memorial Park, 6601 W. Gowan Road, near Rainbow Boulevard, Officer Larry Hadfield said.
Near the scene of the shooting, officers intercepted a vehicle carrying the victim, who was self-transporting to get medical aid, and he was taken by ambulance to University Medical Center, Hadfield said.
No additional information on the arrest was released.
