Population in unincorporated Clark County exceeds 1 million

The population of unincorporated Clark County has crossed the 1 million mark for the first time, according to figures from August 2017 and released today by the county.

The county’s Department of Comprehensive Planning reported a population of 1,005,212, up 2 percent from 984,065 in 2016. The unincorporated portion of the county includes areas outside of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City and Mesquite.

The countywide population was also up 2 percent to 2.25 million, according to the county. Henderson saw the biggest jump at 3 percent, to a population of 307,928. Las Vegas is still the largest municipality with 648,224 residents, up 1 percent.
