UNLV has suspended junior forward Anthony Smith for a violation of team rules.

Smith did not travel with the team for Tuesday's game at Fresno State, which the Rebels lost, 69-63. Head coach Marvin Menzies has not expounded on the nature of the violation or the length of the suspension.

Smith transferred to UNLV in the offseason from Feather River CC, where he posted 20.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game last year. In 13 games for UNLV this season, Smith was averaging 3.5 points and 2.2 rebounds in 11 minutes per game.

He hadn't played in the three games before Fresno State, though that was ostensibly due to an ankle injury.
