Donald Trump has been living off the fruits of the Obama presidency for a year now.
When a president sets the bar as high as Barack Obama did, a personality like Trump must always start and finish his comments by saying how ineffective Obama was. That’s an attempt to lower the acceptance bar so that Trump’s meager efforts can surpass that level.
Don’t be fooled by those comments.
Reasonable people know that had Trump been elected during the Republican-induced recession our county faced when Obama came to office in 2009, we would likely now all be standing in a rescue food line while overhead Trump would be flying off to one of his golf courses as he did 111 times during his first year in office.
What Trump really fears is black respectability and good black governance, and his rhetoric and attempts to erase Obama’s record is unmistakable evidence of that fear.
