Homeless man found dead behind gas station

A man found dead behind a gas station on Sunday was homeless and had likely been involved in a physical altercation, according to Metro Police.

Patrol officers were dispatched about 5:30 p.m. to the gas station in the 4100 block of Paradise Road to investigate reports that a man had been stabbed, police said. The victim was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center and pronounced dead, police said.

The man apparently walked behind the gas station after an altercation, police said. No suspect or motive have been identified, police said.

The identity of the victim and the cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
