Police: Pedestrian critically injured in hit-and-run

A pedestrian was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident while crossing a street early today in downtown Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

A 34-year-old Las Vegas man was crossing Sycamore Lane, north of Main Street, outside of a crosswalk about 12:30 a.m. when he was hit by a car, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The car, which had at least two people in it, left and was last seen headed south on Main Street and then east on Bonanza Road, police said. The car was described as silver or gray, 1994 to 1997 Honda Civic, police said.
