A speeding motorcycle veered off the 215 Beltway near the Gibson Road exit this morning in Henderson and crashed into a guardrail, killing the rider, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Medics responded to the scene about 5 a.m. and pronounced Dylan Dickson, 23, of Henderson dead, the patrol said.
An initial investigation determined Dickson, who was wearing a helmet, was speeding on a 2017 Yamaha R6 when he ran off the road for unknown reasons, the patrol said. The impact threw him from the bike.
The investigation was ongoing, and additional details were not provided.
Dickson was the 36 traffic fatality in 28 crashes this year in the patrol’s jurisdiction, officials said.
