The Transportation Security Administration screened a record number of passengers at the Las Vegas airport during the week following the Electric Daisy Carnival, officials said.

From May 20 to 26, TSA workers at McCarran International Airport screened 474,108 people at security checkpoints, breaking the previous weekly record of 461,540 from March 18 to 24.

The electronic dance music festival, which drew more than 411,000 attendees, ran from May 18 to 20, with the last day falling on a Sunday.

“Nothing we can definitively point to and say, ‘This is why,’ but TSA management shared that the increase was more Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday than Sunday and Monday, which are typically the peak departure days,” airport spokeswoman Christine Crews said. “I think you could fairly theorize that EDC played a role in that.”
