A shooting Friday morning killed a man and wounded two other victims, including a 13-year-old boy, in a North Las Vegas apartment, according to city police.

The 33-year-old man died at the scene, and the boy and a 20-year-old man were taken to University Medical Center with survivable wounds, police said.

The shooting was reported about 5:10 a.m. at a fourplex in the 2500 block of Ellis Street, northwest of Carey Avenue and Belmont Street, police spokesman Officer Aaron Patty said.

Gunfire erupted in a back unit and although a motive for it hasn’t been determined, investigators believe the suspect and the victims knew each other, police said. No arrests had been made as of Friday evening.
