Metro Police say they are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian accident near Charleston Boulevard and Brush Street, just west of Decatur Boulevard.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The incident was reported about 12:25 p.m. Charleston was shut down in both directions from Decatur to Wilshire Street.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
