East valley crash leaves pedestrian seriously injured

Metro Police say they are investigating a crash that critically injured a pedestrian in the east valley.

The crash was reported about 4:10 p.m. Thursday on Flamingo Road and Burnham Avenue, near Eastern Avenue, police said.

The pedestrian was rushed to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with apparent life-threatening injuries, police said.

Traffic on Flamingo was shut down in both directions in the area, police said about 4:30 p.m.
