A 20-year-old Las Vegas man was killed late Wednesday when the car he was driving ran off the road and hit a parked semitruck, according to Metro Police.
The man was driving west on Vegas Valley Drive, west of Tree Line Drive, just before midnight when he ran off the road and crashed into the rear of the truck, which was parked in a vacant dirt lot, police said. Nobody was in the truck.
The man, whose name was not released pending notification of his family, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The crash is under investigation, police said.
