A registered sex offender who in 2016 was found for the second time in possession of child pornography was sentenced Monday to 11 years in federal prison, according to the office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada.

Randall Little of Las Vegas also admitted to moderating 10 online communities on the now-defunct Google Plus social media platform where he and others shared photos of nude boys, according to authorities and a federal criminal complaint.

Ultimately, investigators discovered more than 600 files containing child pornography on Little’s electronic devices, officials said.

Little, 63, in August pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography, officials said. After serving 11 years, 3 months in prison, he faces a lifetime supervision.

Metro Police and the FBI launched an investigation Aug. 22, 2016, after receiving tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Google about someone who had been downloading child pornography, the complaint said.

Three days later, investigators served a search warrant at Little’s apartment in the 600 block of East Twain Avenue, near Swenson Street, the complaint said. Asked why Little thought authorities were there, he replied, “Because of my computer?,” the complaint said.

“I asked him why he immediately said that and he said that would be the only reason we could be there,” a Metro investigator wrote in the complaint.

Little said his computer might have “questionable” files on it but nothing illegal, noting they would find pictures of nude boys, the complaint said.

Little was convicted in 2001 of five counts of possession of child pornography, officials said.
