The Durango High football team finished its game Friday against visiting Clark with 22 unanswered points in a 29-7 victory.

Jayden Nersinger caught a touchdown pass from Kaden Renshaw to break a halftime tie, and Tau Fotu added a scoring run.

On the game’s last play, Frankie Pelton intercepted a pass near the end zone and returned the ball 99 yards for a Durango touchdown.

“Clark is a real tough team. They played us tough,” Durango coach Toby Henry said. “But we were in better shape and pounded them in the second half.”
