Jordan Blakely had a pair of short touchdown runs for Foothill High tonight against host Basic, including the game-winning score with about four minutes to play in a 21-17 victory.

Foothill led 14-0 in the third quarter after Braeden Wilson caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Koy Riggin on “one of the best high school catches I have ever seen,” Foothill coach Marty Redmond said.

But Basic scored 17 unanswered points to take a three-point lead in the neighborhood rivalry game. When Foothill opened in 1999, it took many of its students from Basic, which is located on the other side of Boulder Highway.

“Another crazy one between Foothill and Basic,” Redmond said.
