Tavaris Andrews had a pair of touchdown receptions today for the Sierra Vista High football team in a 26-16 victory against visiting Silverado.

Bryan LaGrange scored on an 80-yard screen pass for Sierra Vista, whose quarterbacks — Jordan Solomon and Jayden Maiava — each had two scoring strikes.

Sierra Vista improved to 3-0 in the Southwest League. It faces nine-time defending state champion Bishop Gorman next week.

“We still have a lot to work on coming into Gorman,” Sierra Vista coach John Foss said.
