Joshua Washington’s 98-yard interception return for a touchdown with six minutes remaining tonight helped the Cheyenne High football team rally for a 29-20 victory against Democracy Prep.

Cheyenne trailed 20-7 at halftime but closed the game with 22 unanswered points. If Washington doesn’t come up with the interception, Democracy Prep would have taken the lead.

Quarterback Joshua Rose accounted for three Cheyenne touchdowns, including two during the second half comeback. He had a pair of rushing scores and connected with Mike Reed for a 6-yard touchdown pass.

Amar Smith passed for both of the Democracy Prep scores.
