Sophomore Zyrus Fiaseu had 22 carries for 235 yards and four touchdowns tonight for the host Liberty High football team in a 45-19 Southeast League win against Green Valley.

In Liberty’s initial five games this season, Fiaseu played both offense and defense. But that frequently resulted in sacrificing touches on offense so he could also play in the defensive secondary.

Against Green Valley, Fiaseu exclusively played offense.

“That will be the strategy moving forward,” Liberty coach Rich Muraco said. “You have to get your best player the ball.”

David Elder added a short touchdown run for Liberty and Dillon Fedor had a 35-yard field goal.

Liberty plays Foothill, the Las Vegas area’s only remaining undefeated team, next week. The winner will likely be the Southeast League champion.
